At present, the Company has the largest mutton sheep breeding base in China, with 305 standard sheep houses, covering a total area of 1,200 mu. It has an annual output of 600,000 mutton sheep. Boer goat, originating in South Africa, is known as the “king of meat goats” in the world, which is an excellent meat goat breed, famous for producing high-quality lean meat. Small-tail Han sheep is a kind of animal belonging to the family of Bovidae and subfamily of Ovineindet, which is a breed in China with edible meat and usable fur. It is characterized by fast growth, early maturity, strong fecundity, stable genetic performance and strong adaptability, so it is acclaimed as China’s “national treasure”, and the world’s “super sheep” and “high leg sheep” by people while being nationally rated as a famous animal breed. The Company implements the standardized production process: first place the purchased sheep in the isolated feeding area and observe their feeding for 15 days, and then transfer them to the fattening feeding area and feed them for 90 days in the way of intensive fattening feeding, and then transfer them to the waiting area for marketing. When the sheep wool weighs up to 45kg, and the goat wool weighs up to 33kg, they can be sold. For their breeding, the strategy of “all in all out” and “balanced production” is implemented; in the whole year, they are marketed in a centralized way in three or four batches.
The chicken farm covers an area of 600 mu, with 62 standardized chicken houses. There are more than 10 chicken breeds, including normal layers, Gallus domestiaus and ordinary cocks. The Company has set up a perfect waste resource treatment center for the breeding base, covering an area of 200 mu. This base has an annual output of 30,000 tons of organic fertilizer, which can provide more than 20,000 tons of high-quality organic fertilizer for the society while meeting the demands of planting bases for fertilizers.
elying on the scientific research institutes, the Company has established the “Institute of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine of Shandong Academy of Agricultural Sciences – Dongying Blue Horizon Doctoral Workstation”, the “Poultry Institute of Shandong Academy of Agricultural Sciences – Doctoral Research Station” and the teaching practice base for School of Animal Science and Technology of Shandong Agricultural University, aiming at building a livestock and poultry breeding standardization demonstration farm and constructing an agricultural technology innovation project comprehensively utilizing the waste of livestock and poultry in Shandong Province.
